Creating a streamlined business and marketing system means freeing your business of all the waste which is not important to your business. This include your daily work activities and your business system itself. Here’s some ideas for creating a lean and mean business:

1) Cancel domain name registrations

Cancel re-billings of domain names which you do not make use of anymore. All this is added expense which you don’t need.

2) Cancel subscriptions which you don’t use

You may have subscribed to the latest marketing membership site but hardly refer to it anymore. Cancel the monthly billing to trim your costs.

3) Don’t check email constantly

Some people are connected to their email almost 24/7. This is a bad habit. Make a pledge to check your email only once in the morning and once in the evening. The reason why most of us check email like a hawk is because we are afraid of an emergency. More often than not, nothing requires immediate attention and we have wasted more time.

4) Keep your marketing message simple

Don’t use English words which get people reaching out for the dictionary. Keep your marketing message simple, so simple that even a 5th grader could understand it.

5) Concentrate on key activities

Instead of spending a lot of time on activities which don’t directly contribute to creating profits for your business, concentrate on the key areas such as the marketing and advertising of your website or online store. Find out what is working, and spend much more time on that.

There is a long list of things you can do on a daily basis that require very little time. The key to marketing success is finding a few simple things you can do that you feel comfortable doing, and do them consistently. Don’t make this harder than it has to be. Literally a few minutes spent on some aspect of marketing your business on a daily basis will pay off significantly in the coming months. The key is to do something every day related to marketing no matter how busy you are.
